Working together for a good cause

With our Das gute Eis brand ice cream, we are able to make
a significant contribution towards better social and ecological tolerance.
Sustainable Demeter quality and fair trade are matters that are
particularly important to us. Which is why it is also our aim that as much
of the added-value chain as possible should remain with the farmers
with whom we work in partnerships.
Under the motto of A spoon for you – a spoon for the world, our retail partners also donate a proportion of the revenue of each tub to projects that educate small farmers and give them additional qualifications. Which means that you can also make your own personal contribution with every spoon of ice cream.

Fair and sustainable management

We only use the best ingredients for DAS GUTE EIS that are sustainably produced and guaranteed fairly traded. We obtain our fresh milk, cream and butter, all Demeter quality, from an independent dairy cooperative in Southern Germany. Here, the dairy farmers always make every decision together. Our Demeter beet sugar comes from the same region. Its impact on the environment is around 37 % less than cane sugar imported from abroad.

The premium quality vanilla pods are sorted by hand, and come from Madagascar. Our chocolate ice cream is made exclusively with naturally pure gourmet chocolate by ’Original Beans’, which even the world‘s top chefs swear by. No distance is ever too far for the Bean Team on its quest for the rarest cocoa varieties, the ’Original Beans’. And with its „One Bar – One Tree“ programme, it also supports the sustainable development of the rainforests and has already planted over two million trees.

For us, enjoyment isn‘t just a matter of good taste, but also of responsibility towards the consumer and towards sustainability in quality (of life). Which is why our economic activities are permanently on the test stand, and we optimise our processes and standards. It is also extremely important to us that we consistently increase the proportion of regional ingredients: regional value creation – cross-regional marketing.

And now we‘ve gone one step further with SANDRO’S BIO PUR | Demeter, a brand by our sister company MOS GMBHin Nürtingen. We have worked in close cooperation with our raw materials partners both in the region and throughout Europe to realise an authentic and sustainably fair Bio | Demeter ice cream of the very finest flavour.

Fresh milk, cream, butter, yoghurt and sugar – thanks to the close cooperations with our regional partners, we can guarantee that only the very best Demeter-quality ingredients go into our organic ice cream. Combined with skilled craftsmanship and a keen understanding of balanced compositions, the results are irresistibly delicious creations for the purest ice cream enjoyment.

Our organic sorbets have an exceptionally high fruit content of 71 %. They are vegan, lactose and gluten-free, and every bit as creamy as our dairy ice cream. Those who wish to maintain a balanced diet or are living with an intolerance can happily relax and enjoy our fruit sorbets.
